Around the end of May 2021 Greyson began having trouble walking. His local vet treated him conservatively with rest and medication but he didn’t improve. On July 7th, his human mom, Melissa, took him to a specialist in Tallahassee who did an MRI and diagnosed him with a herniated disc in his neck at C5-C6. The vet recommended surgery and Greyson had his operation on July 8th. His recovery went well and he was released back to regular activity on 7/28.
All seemed well until around 8/11 when he began having problems with his back legs and not walking well. His surgeon wasn’t too worried and prescribed rest and steroids plus pain meds. Then on 8/14 he started breathing funny and wasn’t able to pee so Melissa took him back to the specialty vet where his surgeon works and they diagnosed him with diabetes. His blood sugar was over 600! He had to stay at the animal hospital under observation for 3 days and then came home on insulin which he will have to take for the rest of his life.
Unfortunately his issues with walking and standing on his back legs have not improved at all and seem to be getting worse. Because of this Greyson needs another MRI and possibly another surgery. Each MRI costs $2500 and surgery costs can range from $3000-$5000. This is in addition to the costs of spending several days in the hospital and multiple emergency visits totaling over $2000.

All of my kids have 4 legs and I am grateful for all the help being extended to me. My dogs are my children, no doubt. I spent over 20 years serving my country in the US Coast Guard and recently graduated from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program, however; I am currently unemployed - it’s tough. I am actively looking but in the meantime, would appreciate any token of support you are willing to share. I am always willing to help others and I appreciate those able to do the same for me, even though it is so hard to ask. ~Melissa

*Upon close of the pre-order sale, I will gather orders and get to printing. You will be notified via email when your order is ready for pick up, or shipping, based on the location you choose. Locations are to be determined but will be within city limits of the towns listed.
*If you choose to have yours shipped, it is $6 for the first shirt and only $1 for each additional! Pick up will be available on or before September 10, 2021.
